Spice up your trip to Asheville with a ride on the wild side!
Historical and hysterical, our City Tour features outrageously entertaining tour guides, outlandish comedy skits complete with special appearances and loads of Asheville information. You’ll get to see the best of downtown Asheville and the rarely seen but stunningly beautiful Montford neighborhood, not to mention the burgeoning River Arts District! You’ve never had a ride like this. It’s like a vaudeville show on wheels!
What Will You See?
Our tour begins and ends in historic downtown Asheville where you’ll see Pack Square, The Vance Monument, The Grove Arcade, and the country’s second largest collection of Art Deco Architecture.
Montford Avenue, developed in the late 1800s, is one of Asheville’s most beautiful neighborhoods filled with Queen Anne homes and exquisite Bed and Breakfasts.
Breweries! The South Slope (sloping south of downtown) is home to some of Asheville’s most iconic and adventurous breweries. We’ll stop briefly at the Green Mansion, for a quick bathroom break and a pint – if you’re quick!
River Arts District
After our break, we’ll head into the River Arts District, where hundreds of local artists are creating masterpieces. We’ll pass by the historic Wedge studios and a glass works company.
The tour begins and ends at the LaZoom Room, a 1940s gas station. You can stay for a local brew, or head out into Asheville a more experienced and knowledgeable traveler!
Bachelorette and Bachelor Parties are NOT allowed on our comedy tours! Please see our Band & Beer Bus tours, where you can talk, carry on and won’t be interrupting the show.
City Tours run approximately 90 minutes, with a 10-minute break at Green Man. Beer and wine are welcome onboard, but absolutely no liquor, please! All beer and wine must be opened and consumed on the bus. Passengers must be at least 21 years old to drink on the bus, and must have valid ID.
We rate our City Tour PG-13. Passengers must be at least 13 years old to ride! Anyone under the age of 13 will not be allowed to board LaZoom, even if a ticket has been purchased for him or her. Any such ticket will not be refunded.
Reservations are strongly recommended, as most tours sell out. (Tickets may be purchased at boarding if seating is available.) City Tours depart from the LaZoom Room at 76 Biltmore Avenue in downtown Asheville.
