What You’ll Experience

Highland Brewing Co

Asheville’s First Brewery

Our first stop on the tour means you’ll get to try Asheville’s first local beer: The Gaelic Ale. Highland sits east of downtown on top of a beautiful mountain. Sneak up to the rooftop bar and get the full Blue Ridge Mountain views!

Hint: Selfies + Mountain Ranges = Instagram gold.

Hillman Beer

Neighborhood hang in Biltmore Village

Just outside the entrance to Biltmore Estate is Hillman Beery. They’re the local watering hole you wish you had in your town, but they brew award winning craft beer. They also have an amazing restaurant – get the warm pretzels!

YUM

The Wedge at Foundation

Gettin’ Funky In the Arts District

Tucked between bombed out graffitied buildings sits one of Asheville’s funkiest dives, the Wedge at Foundation. Grab an Iron Rail IPA or Cold Cold Beer and wander through giant concrete murals of new retro graffiti.

#blessed

Live Music

Sounds Abounds While Making Rounds

From R&B, classic rock, blues, and pop – we’ve scoured the local scene to find Asheville’s best bands. Our rotating lineup includes local favorites such as: Lyric, Empire Strikes Brass, Andrew Scotchie, The Sufi Bros, and more!

See the full calendar below.

Your Guides

Dave2

David Carmona
Guide

The Reverend Carmona brought the stone tablets down from the mountain and said “Let there be beer!” David likes his beers hoppy, his bands rocking, and his tours to run on time. Can I get an amen?!

Andrew2

Andrew Fletcher
Guide

Andrew is a full time musician, but his side hustle is hanging out with new friends at cool breweries. You’ll follow his red hat from beer to beer in search of that sacred sip. Pro Tip: He can give you the inside scoop on great live music after the tour!

Scott

Scott Yerkey
Guide

The original Party Animal, Scott Yerkey’s style is one of a kind. He’s known to take off dancing in the streets during tours (don’t tell our insurance adjuster). Ask him how to noodle dance and he’ll be yours forever.

Tony Bio

Tony Jayne – The Driver

Tony’s the bus driver, aka the Great Sober One. He keeps the tour rolling and safely gets you from spot to spot. Plus, he’s fun to hang out with! His son is a drummer that plays with a lot of local bands, so you might get to meet the whole fam damnily.

Wanda1

Wanda – The Bus

Wanda is one of the first members of the LaZoom Family. LaZoom has three buses, but she started it all 13 years ago. Wanda is decked out from head to toe in purple, and can hold 40 folks comfortably. Be nice to Wanda, she’s our first love!

Tour Policies:

We have a ticketless system, this email serves as your ticket and can be presented at boarding via paper copy or phone. Seating is first come, first served. If passengers are late to boarding, their tickets may be released and sold to another party at time of departure. If passengers are intoxicated at boarding, they will not be allowed to board and a refund will not be given.

Parking:

We do not have passenger parking at LaZoom Room and therefore recommend arriving downtown 30 minutes before your scheduled tour time to find parking. Additionally, Uber or Lyft is always a great option to avoid having to find parking.

PAID PARKING OPTIONS:

The paid lot surrounding LaZoom Room (we do not manage this lot), street meters, the Aloft Hotel or the garage up one block on Biltmore Ave.

What to Bring:

You’re welcome to bring snacks or beverages on the bus. Beer and wine are allowed on board, but not liquor. The LaZoom Room has a great selection of beer, wine, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase to enjoy there or take on the bus.

Passengers over 21 need ID if they intend to drink alcoholic beverages on the bus. If you’re booking a “Local” ticket, you will be expected to provide an Asheville ID or proof of Asheville residency at boarding.

Cancellation Policies:

Parties of 4 and fewer must cancel at least 24 hours prior to the tour to receive a full refund. Parties of 5 or more must cancel at least 4 days prior to the tour to receive a full refund. We do not offer refunds for reservations cancelled the day of the tour.

In the rare event that we have fewer than 9 passengers registered for a tour, we may have to cancel it. We do our best to make this decision at least 2 hours before departure time. All passengers will be notified of any cancellations via text, email and telephone. For this reason, please make sure that you have provided us with a good telephone number to reach you on the day of your tour.
