What is the bus tour experience like?
Think part comedy show, part sightseeing tour, part Asheville fever dream. Depending on the experience, you’ll ride through the city aboard one of our iconic purple buses while professional performers deliver comedy, local history, ghost stories, live music, and the occasional surprise guest. Expect big laughs, great sights, and a uniquely Asheville experience.

Which LaZoom tour should I choose?
Looking for the classic LaZoom experience? Start with Hey Asheville – our flagship comedy sightseeing tour. Want spooky-but-funny? Choose Ghosted. Looking for live music and breweries? Fender Bender is your move. Bringing kids? Lil Boogers was made for families.

How do I purchase tickets?
You can purchase tickets for our bus tours and comedy shows online, over the phone, or you can stop by the LaZoom Room at 76 Biltmore Ave. Buying tickets in advance is the only way to guarantee seating. Reservations are strongly suggested, as most tours do sell out. Tickets can be purchased at the time of boarding if seating is available.

How long are the tours?
Hey Asheville is 90 minutes long, with a bathroom break halfway through.
Ghosted is 60 minutes long with no stops.
Fender Bender is 3 hours long with multiple breaks
Lil’ Boogers is 60 minutes long with no break.

Do I have to print out or pick up my tickets?
You do not. We always recommend reading over your email confirmation so you know where and when your tour departs, as well all the other important can and cannot’s of the LaZoom bus, however we use a roster at the bus so all we need is your name and you can jump right on.

Where do the tours depart from?
ASHEVILLE: The LaZoom Room – 76 Biltmore Ave., Asheville, NC 28801.

Is the tour appropriate for all ages?
Hey Asheville tours have a bit of PG-13 humor, so we have limited it to ages 13 and up. Our Haunted Tour and is appropriate for individuals 17 years and up. Only individuals 21+ are allowed on our Fender Bender Tour. The Lil Boogers Tour is appropriate for all ages. 

What is the cancellation policy?
Full refund if cancelled outside of 48 hours from the start of the tour. Inside of 48 hours no refund or rebooking will be offered.

For private tours, a full refund is offered if the reservation is cancelled outside of 30 days from the start of the tour.

In the rare event that we have fewer than 6 passengers registered for a bus tour, we may have to cancel it. We do our best to make this decision at least 2 hours before departure time. All passengers will be notified of any cancellations via text, email, and telephone. For this reason, please make sure that you provide us with a good telephone number to reach you on the day of your tour. LaZoom is not responsible for customers missing the notification of a cancelled tour.

How far in advance do we need to book?
It really depends on the month, day of the week, and time you’re wanting to ride.  If you have a larger party, booking a few weeks ahead is a great idea, if possible. However, sometimes tours roll with seats available, so last minute bookings often work too, specifically on weekdays.

Is LaZoom accessible for guests with disabilities?

The LaZoom Room and its restrooms are wheelchair accessible; unfortunately, our buses are not. The bus doors are not wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair, and passengers must climb a few steps to board and exit. A handrail is available, and our team will do its best to assist passengers and store wheelchairs when needed.

Assistive-listening headphones are also available and may be reserved during the booking process.

Is it appropriate to give gratuity?
Yes, gratuities are greatly appreciated by our bus drivers and performers. Believe us, you’ll want to after you see their show!

Do You Offer Discounts?

How Do I Apply a Discount Code?
Easy! If it’s a promo code you’ll enter it once you’ve selected the number of tickets needed. The promo code may need to be applied per ticket, so make sure you’ve applied it to all available tickets in your order.

Some of the tickets in my order won’t allow me to enter a discount/promo code? 
Some tickets are pre-discounted, like our ‘local’ ticket. The system won’t allow you to enter an additional discount on top of an already discounted ticket.

How should I dress?
Dress for success with the weather; LaZoom is an open-air tour bus when the weather is 60 degrees or above. Windows will be closed if it is cold or rainy. Dress in whatever manner you wish on the bus, and during your entire vacation in Asheville!

Is the bus air conditioned or heated?
The bus is open-air. That means no A/C in the summer, but there is a nice breeze once the tour starts moving. In inclement or cold weather, the bus does have windows we will close. The bus is heated during colder months, but we always recommend dressing for the weather.

Are Your Tours Hop On/Hop Off?
No, our tours follow a set route and are not ‘hop-on/hop-off’.

How is seating arranged?
Seating is first come, first serve. 

Can I bring my dog on the bus?
Small dogs (lap dogs) under 20 pounds are welcome on the bus. No dogs over 20 pounds are permitted unless they are a service dog. All dogs are required to have a good sense of humor, and must laugh at all dog jokes. 

Why are Bachelorette and Bachelor Parties not allowed on comedy tours?
From experience, we’ve found that our comedy tours and these groups are often not a good match. However, these groups LOVE the Band and Beer tour! The difference between the two experiences is that during our comedy tours, the crowd has to be quiet so the audience can hear the tour guide, during the Band and Beer tours, the crowd in encouraged to be boisterous, and a part of the experience!

Do the tours run in inclement weather?
Our tours run rain or shine! However, we will cancel the tour if we deem it unsafe to be out on the roads. If we do cancel, we will let you know at least 1 hour prior to the start time. When booking your reservation, please provide us with a number that you could be reached prior to the start of your tour.

Can I bring my baby on the bus?
Infants are only permitted on the Lil Boogers: Kids Comedy Tour for safety reasons.

What are fun things to do in Asheville?
Depends what you’re into. Asheville has hiking, breweries, food, music, and beloved local experiences. If you’re looking for something funny, social, and uniquely Asheville, many visitors choose LaZoom for comedy sightseeing, ghost tours, or live music rides.

Is LaZoom worth it?
If you enjoy laughing, local culture, and making memories while traveling, most guests would say yes. LaZoom isn’t a traditional sightseeing tour, it’s part comedy show, part city tour, and part Asheville experience. Many guests tell us it ends up being one of the most memorable things they did on their trip. That said, if you’re looking for a quiet, lecture-style history tour, we may not be your thing (and that’s okay too).

What should I expect on a LaZoom tour?
Expect a lively, funny, slightly unpredictable ride through Asheville aboard one of our iconic purple buses. Depending on the tour, you’ll experience live comedy, storytelling, local history, hysterical characters, ghost stories, live music, brewery stops, and audience interaction (participation is always optional). Some people come for the laughs, some for the city, everyone leaves having gotten both.

Is LaZoom touristy?
Yes and no. Visitors love LaZoom because it’s a fun way to experience Asheville, but locals ride too, especially for Ghosted, Fender Bender, Sunday Service shows, birthdays, and when friends are in town. We like to think of it less as a “tourist attraction” and more as a uniquely Asheville experience.

What is the funniest tour in Asheville?
We’re admittedly biased, but if comedy is what you’re after, LaZoom is Asheville’s original comedy bus tour experience and has been making people laugh for nearly 20 years. Whether you choose Hey Asheville, Ghosted, or Fender Bender, the experience combines live performers, original scripts, and local humor you won’t find on a traditional tour.

What is the best ghost tour in Asheville?
That depends on what kind of ghost tour you want. If you’re looking for a serious paranormal investigation or pure historical storytelling, there are great walking tours in town. If you want something scary-funny, theatrical, and uniquely Asheville, Ghosted blends real local history, comedy, live performers, and spooky surprises into one unforgettable ride.

Is LaZoom suitable for families?
Yes. The Lil Boogers Kids’ Comedy Tour is specifically designed for families with young children. The Hey Asheville Tour is appropriate for ages 13 and up.

Are there adult-only tours in Asheville?
Yes. The Ghosted Haunted Comedy Tour is for ages 17+, and the Fender Bender Band & Beer Ride is for ages 21+, featuring live music and brewery stops.
