SHred till your dead

Bones Boudreaux hitched a ride from a New Orleans swamp to Asheville with only a guitar and a grin. Equal parts spook and showman, he guides LaZooom’s Ghosted tour with ghastly stories, face melting riffs, and the most soulful eyes east of the Mississippi.

INTERVIEW WITH A BONE-PIRE

5 Questions with Bones Boudreaux

Where did you come from?
“I crawled out of the New Orleans swamp with a guitar in hand. Met a couple of shady street performers on their way to Asheville, hopped on their purple bus, and never looked back.”

What’s your greatest strength as a supernatural being?
“I may be dead, but I’m not heartless. My skeleton key can unlock any mortal’s soul.”

What’s your biggest weakness?
“Being 80 percent leg bone means I can’t stand up straight on the bus. But I can still rock harder than your uncle at karaoke.”

Who’s your worst enemy?
“The Asheville noise ordinance. Try to shred under 75 decibels and tell me it feels like rock and roll.”

Why should mortals ride with you?
“Because I’ll rattle your funny bone before I rattle your grave.”
